First serious attempt at Mapping

The map looks like it is starting to take shape. Try using the Smooth Tool on the bumpy areas.

The BW2 Modding WIKI does have a couple of tutorials on using textures. As well I go into it a bit in this thread.

Well, yet another update. Sorry, I'd just like to see your opinions of my updates. I messed with the grass till
I got it how I want it. It looks quite nice up close. One of the most immediate changes you'll see is the new
volcano mountain on the left. I was fiddling around with it, and thats how it ended up. The right mountain is
almost non-existent right now. Just basically a large ridge with a smaller volcano. Almost thinking of calling
this map Little Brother, in light of the two volcano's. Also, the canyon in the middle, I decided to make apart
of that a bit more arid with a depression, and no grass. I really like how it looks there.

Btw, most of you have probably already guessed, but that very small island in the back, is used for creature
selection. Have a few plans for that little island, but nothing major. Unless you guys give me ideas  ???

whats up with the circles?..

And, is that a creature pen?..

If so, didn't realise it was that big of a land! :o

I like the vulcano bit.

As suggestion again, to get a more  'natural' look to your land, toss around with a few epic miracles when you get to testing the land.

It shows the 'ley of the land', and allows you to see how it should 'flow'.

Even though it looks quite satisfieng.

I would suggest learning just a bit more about blending and texturing, as the mountains are still not quite, how to put it.. correctly portraied? Or whatever the word is.

nice rock texture! :D

okay, the grass still looks abit too green to me, but if you like it, that's fine.
