Okay, well... I finally got a computer capable of playing BW2, and the only problem so far is that zooming in on villagers, when there're a lot (not that many lags, even) will lag horrendously.  The thing in the Greek Capital near the intro with the aztec archers was Hell ;_;

I just wanna know if there's a way to get around this easily, I'm at 800x600 with medium quality (works perfectly for everything else... actually, I think high quality on the next highest resolution did too)

Anyway, specs.
2.0 GHz processor
128MB of video RAM
1GB of RAM
(I'm pretty sure it's a video problem so for now that's all I'm listing... unless I forgot something?)

What's your video card. If it's low to medium end then it will lag. ???

Hmm. Well that's the same specs that I use, a little different with the CPU (2.2 ghz). But like Kays said, if your card is low-low to medium-medium, then you might get the lag. If you have a medium-high then you might get the kind of work that I do. Some bad anti-aliasing happens but no lag.

That's a low end card so it probably will lag. You can try cutting back on some of the graphic details to see if it will help.

How is it once you got to that last tutorial land. The Greek Homeland is a bit graphic and CPU intensive.

Nevermind ^_^;

Either it  was a freak kind of thing or it's because of the detail selected, I changed the graphics to a custom thing (I THOUGHT I turned the graphics up a little, but...) and it runs smoothly now.

Although I'm still only playing at 800x600.

Okay, I know this is bumping a seven-to-eight month topic, but I'm getting the same problem again.

I recently formatted my hard drive (okay, a while ago) and I can't get the settings to work right now.  I know it's not a graphics hardware problem, because it's worked before for a long time... and I tried every setting I can think of, doesn't help at all.

Neither does changing the resolution (although to get it smaller than 800x600 I have to do it in windowed mode)[br][br]Added: [time]1184738959[/time]Nevermind.  Either the 1.1 or 1.2 patch fixed it.

.... now to remember how to edit/merge posts...
