Hello everyone. As title suggests, something's really wrong with my pets face :D joust see the pictures, aren't there any fixes for this?I really wanted to play with a zebra but that face makes me sick :D
I hope some of you are still lurking and reading B&W1 questions ^_^

Now I understand why Blacky said "Do we really need a Zebraaah though?" :3

I think that i made this post 8,9 years ago on lionheads forums  and no one answered, how about now? :D, how can most of the people love zebra and horse and not even care about this =3

That is weirdo, my zebra doesn't have any kind of glitches. Have you tried to change your creature back, and switch to the zebra agin? Or, maybe he is too thin with like 0% fat. Normaly your pet should be around 30-40% fat. (Imo the grown up tiger looks good with 0% fat and 100% strength, but that's only the tiger!) Hope this helps!  :)

...Creepy. Is it like this all the time or just when you paused at that moment?

There are a couple of things that could be affecting this if it is a constant thing.

1) What are the creature's fat and strength ratings? As Sabres suggested, when you have a supper low fat or super high strength, it can drastically affect appearance.

2) Have you modified any of your files for the game?

I haven't modified anything, I play from original disc at that moment zebra was at 50% fat, and 15% strength,  it was a cow before this... It makes that glitch every time it tries to turn around and making expressions. when it's walking and generally looking forward it looks normal... you can watch some zebra creatures on youtube and see that it happens to all of them :/ {using enlarge miracle and strength creature, effect glitch stays the same...}  1.2 patch applied

Back at 2000 it was the same, but i didn't had forum knowledge or browsing experience so I couldn't find any help so  I ignored that and continued playing a tiger :P , stupid little rascal :P

Yah, that is a bit odd. ???

What is your creature's alignment?

In looking at the model in the L3D Visualiser, the face does distort a bit when changing alignments.

It was 0.54 , well now it's 1.0  :laugh2  I am currently back on the cow...  I could get back on zebra if it does you any god

watch the zebra at 19 second, my does that to but it stays in that position a lot longer, it's like its checks don't flow the head correctly, it has some more zebra animation at the end same thing happens

It seems that I'll have to ignore it for another 10 years since I am no good with modeling, basicly anything that presents something in 3D :P

It doesn't look that seroius. I think that the Leopard does something simlar but not as bad.

Have you played BW2 yet? There the wolf is really messed up.

Actually, I have noticed that sometimes the creatures textures or whatnot do mess up in certain poses. It's not just the Zebra, and it happens quite often. It's just that unless you spend a lot of time watching your creature, it's not that noticeable, and it doesn't hurt things so I guess no one really cared to write about this or anything.
If it's just when the creature turns his head, forget about it. That's the most common "problem pose" for all creature types, I think.

Maybe it has to do with the "graphics detail level".  What do you have it set on?  And does the same problem happen with different resolution settings and/or detail levels?

The detail level only affects how many layers of images are stacked on the ground and buildings, and things like clouds and rain effects, and shadows. It shouldn't affect the creature much, if at all.

I played it, wolf has a crazy nose syndrome :D so I changed to ape. But I like BW1 more than BW2, since creatures in BW2 are robots... I thought that they will [Lionhead] make more advanced AI enabling me to learn my creature to plant forests geometrically, not joust puling random trees and putting them all in the same spot and occasionally water them :P game would be more popular id they were working of AI more... I think that mood changing is so robotic :p.

Well maybe no one actually played zebra and horse online. I never had BW1 online experience that makes me so disappointed, i hope to have some in near future ^_^

I forgot to mention, there are no glitches on horse, Zebra and horse are build differently, their physique is the same, but legs, face and arms are different. I used some cheats to see zebra at 100% and max strength 55 fat... it is still there, while the horse is perfect... Sorry for barking on the horse that he has the same glitch he has not :D.

So .l3d file for zebra is not made so well. It's OK since no one actually plays with her, T_T , if only I had more time to figure out how all works and fix the face :/ . Probably it only needs to rejoin the jaw on the right spot or something :D  :woot

Yup same, stuff , there's a hole on the other side I spared you from the Horror  :devil :cmad
