hi i'm new and i was just wondering how do you get the wolf on black and white 1? i've tried to look it up on google and i cant find it :help

Hi and welcome. :)

In game, a bugged quest on land 4 I think it was.

Or you can use a creature changer. There's a number of them on this page

You like wolves... Hmm. There can only be one...

Nah. Welcome on the boards.  As for getting the Wolf Legitimately, I believe it's impossible because the quest is glitched. Go for the  creature changer

Actually, though the patch never in fact fixed the problem, I played through the quest again anyway a few weeks ago. I got the normal deal where she runs out of potions, but then the silver scroll reappeared. I clicked it, and the woman walked all the way through the path unharmed and cured her brother, and I got the wolf (which I didn't actually want, I was just doing the quest). :rolleyes

I have no idea what happened (though my computer had been on for about three straight weeks, since I forgot to reboot, and crashed from RAM overload around this time, so it might have been something to do with save files, like the normal creature->ape->chimp trick on Land 3), though it is obviously possible. The scene is nothing special, just the usual thanks and the guy (I think) saying, "I want you to have this."

Doesn't she consume the potion(s) to heal herself if she gets hurt? I have never not completed the quest and uncovered the wolf, but I always cleared the path she took before activating her quest.

Yeah, I do, too. But there's a glitch, which, regardless of my patching, causes her to run out of potions without ever getting hurt. I haven't heard of anyone getting to the end of the quest without hacking the files, but it is generally accepted as easier to just cheat for the wolf, and I was trying for an evil solution, anyhow. Honestly, I don't know where I went right. :woot

Hello i'm new in this forum and i'm having the same problem with that particular quest, dosen't matter how i tried to install the game (i test any directory include other partitions), or in which operative system ( i tried with 7 and xp) i still can't get the wolf, and yes i'ts patched with v1.2. you mentioned above that the files can be hack, Do you know how??

:sorry if i have bad english.

I think it's been a while since Okapidragon has been on.
You could try looking in the quest folder, if you want to edit the quest.
Or use a creature changer:
http://www.bwfiles.com/files/file.php?id=1109
http://www.bwfiles.com/files/file.php?id=203
http://www.bwfiles.com/files/file.php?id=194 (this one is a modifier, may or may not change your creature)

I use Mac, so I can't say what I think the best one is.
But, the Wolf does rock! :yourock:

thanks for answering i found a way to do it without programs but i am deeply interested in found a way to "fix" the quest

i'm sorry i made a mistake (my bad), actually answer was this:
thanks for answering i found a way to do it without programs but i am deeply interested in found a way to "fix" the quest through scripting tools or something like that

Try asking Kratzean, he may know a way.
I do wonder what the difference is between the quest on Mac (which is not bugged), and the quest on PC. :upside
