VIsta save game bullshot

Hey everyone, i have been playing bw since it came out, recently i got the hankering to play again on my vista box. well long story short i found out that i needed to turn on admin privilages to save the game and have the updates work. the problem is i have trained the best creature i ever had so far using autosave and i dont want to restart him. when i turn admin privilages on my old profile cant be located, possibly because the updates are being used as opposed to the no admin version 1.0, is there a way to at least get my creature mind if i do have to restart?

Yes, As long as you can identify your creature's mind file you can start a new profile and swap mindfiles with that creature.

i had to get his mind file by backing up the version 1.0 but in the end it works thanks!

Glad you got that sorted out.

One thing to mention since you're using Vista is that a patched game will not show the proper version number.

actually it you go into the properties and turn administrator its showing version 1.2, for me anyways.

That's good to know because it doesn't show properly on the splash screen when starting the game.
