my graphics card (ATI mobility radeon 9000) which is 32MB can run black and white 2, and it says that the MINIMUM requirement is 64MB. It also fails the test for minimum on the system requirements lab, can anyone tell me why this is?
If I'm not mistaken, the Radeon 9000 is a DX8 card. It could be that since it doesn't process stuff like fur and blooming that it may use less resources
I had to buy a new video card a long time ago because my Radeon 9000 wouldn't run it ;; And I'm pretty sure it's a DX9 card, it just isn't very good. At all XD
I had an underpowered graphics card that worked before, I think the game may have slightly lower minimum requirements then it says.
It should be pretty laggy, though. If you want to have fun playing, you should get a new card. That new GeForce card just came out didn't it, the 9000 series?
I would go for an ATI myself the HD3450 looks to be extra ordinary value at the moment..
Cheap ,Only needs 300w PC power supply, Shader 4, DX10 so it won't be out of date soon like DX 9 cards will soon. PCIe only though no AGP version that I saw.
my card can process hair and things, and it laggs for the first... 2 minutes then runs pretty smoothly.
its just, if the predicted reqs for spore is a 64MB graphics card, will i be able to run it i wonder? ???
bear in mind im on a laptop and cant change the graphics card (what a shame)
Spore may well run on a 64M graphic card but I bet it would prefer 128m for DX9 ..DX10+ is when the game comes out so the current cheap 1g cards are at the low end of the market.
.
Perhaps you should look to the "underdogs" for you next game they have 1000's that will run on yours for free.
