:help

I have been playing black and white since it came out and i never had this problem till recently when i reinstalled it after playing a new game.

I reinstalled balck and white and every time i play a game the graphics are messed.

There are wierd shapes around the arrow and there are shapes of many colors all over.  There are also lines running everywhere that are many colors.  These lines connect the diffrent objects and look like perspective lines that run off screen or connect other objects together.

i think this might be the same problem as the other post about graphics but since i can't see the screen shot in that post i do not know for sure.

i would provide a few screen shots if someone told me how to make them.

I really need :help as i love my black and white and can't live without it.

And i am  :sorry if this is double posting and is the same problem as the other guy's in the other graphics error post.

I  :suspect that the new game, KotOR, did something to my old computer, 11 years old, to make it act this way like enable that APG thing but the disabling APG hasn't helped me.

It does sound like a graphics driver issue, but if it worked bofore.. ???

There have been issues with B&W and other games, but not video related. Have you tried uninstalling KotOR to see if it makes a differance. What I would suggest, if you have a copy of your video drivers, is to uninstall your video drivers, reboot and then to reinstall them.

What is your system and video card?

i am talking about B&W1 just to let you know and it has ALWAYS worked.

I edited your post and put that in a spoiler tag since it is a long print out.

The thing to look at is what has changed since you last played B&W.

So it's a whole bunch of questions. :p

You mentioned KotOR, have you tried uninstalling it to see if that will help?
Have you ininstalled and then reinstalled B&W since the last time you played it?
When was the last time you were able to play it properly?
Which version patch are you using? You should have V1.20 installed
Have you tried newer video drivers. or different ones?
I see that SP2 is installed. Have you played B&W successfully since that was done?

Here are the answers to your questions

You mentioned KotOR, have you tried uninstalling it to see if that will help?
I uninstalled it about a week ago and this was before i even thought of reinstalling Black and White.

Have you ininstalled and then reinstalled B&W since the last time you played it?
I uninstalled Black and White shortly after the online was cancelled and i haven't had it on my computer since September of 2005.  I installed it and reinstalled it about eight times before i came to the forums for help.

When was the last time you were able to play it properly?
Before the online servers were shut down and after that i uninstalled it.

Which version patch are you using? You should have V1.20 installed
i have tried all the pathces but none help so i have 1.2 currently installed.

Have you tried newer video drivers. or different ones?
My video drivers are the same as they used to be when it worked.

I see that SP2 is installed. Have you played B&W successfully since that was done?
It was always on there i think. And yes i played succesfully with it on.

Ok, thanks for that. :)

It looks like a video driver problem. What I would suggest you do is to uninstall your video drivers reboot and then to reinstall them. Your old drivers should work since they're only about 9 months old. Failing that uninstall your video drivers and then install the latest drivers from nVidia.

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_81.98.html

To uninstall video drivers first check to see if it can be done in Add and Remove Programs. If it's not listed there then you'll have to go into Device Manager(right click on My Computer> Manage>Device Manager) choose properties and then uninstall the driver. When you reboot, first let windows find a driver and then install your drivers.
