Problems with skinning/B&W Skin Utility

Trying to create skins using B&W Skin Utility. Seems to work fine to extract the tga files, but if I edit the tgas, then load them back into the l3d using the program, it turns the texture into a distorted, horizontally stripes, (ironically) black and white mess... ?  :help
 
Hi, it's kinda cool looking though. :)

That's probably happening because you're saving the file as compressed. The file size on the .tga files should be about 513 KB if it's much smaller, then it's compressed. If it is, open one up and do a "Save As". In the dialog box that comes up should be an options button. Click on it, make it's set as 24 bit colour and uncompressed, then save it.
