I've finally reached the "mirror" creature fight in my latest game of BW1, and I can't seem to beat it.  I know that you have to heal your creature many times as the mirror creature does so, but it seems that I get to a point where the heal miracle no longer works and my creature's life scale goes down to red and then the mirror creature wins.  Do you need to keep the life scale above a certain point for the heal miracle to work?  Any other strategy suggestions would be welcome.

Alright, I don't remember very well, but I believe that if your creature knows heal increase and an arrange of different attacking miracles it goes very well. Also, remember to DODGE not block, if your creature is in the tiger or wolf family area, then go for the dodging. Dodging seriously does help, and when the mirror is off guard use ur creatures special attack

There's only a couple things you need to win: heal, fireball or lightning, and can draw a star for the special move a bunch really fast. I don't think i ever used a real move, it was always the special. It is a hard battle, and is very time-consuming so don't get discouraged.

It gets alot simpler than that.

If you loose, don't reload your save game.  Just go back and fight him again.

Nemisis will only use Heal increase on his creature three times EVER over all the abttles you have with his mirror creature.  Once he's healed three times, the creature's health can be taken down.

However, if you reload after every defeat, the number of heals gets reset.

Hope that helps.

This as FP said is simple the only real problems  will be if your creature can't fight for himself.  If he can then you have the free time  to cast miracles from  outside the fight this will help as the mirror  has exactly the same stats as your creature . The big problem as I remember it  was the pause  in creature actions  between your control and  his control of the fight.
So it is best to let him fight without aid (leash control) until after the enemy 3'rd heal if possible. Then you can go for the throat.

I was reloading the game (didn't want to have to run the creature all the way from my temple to the fight area, which is all the way on the other side of the land).  Once I stopped doing that, it took me three tries to win the fight.

easier, zoom out go to your temple get a fireball miracle charged, go back, blast his creature and watch him die. Also your creature should know to use heal in battle, and youll be fine

Probably not a spoiler, but I feel like posting it as one...

I made my creature fireball the Mirror as often as possible and won quickly that way.  In other words, shake that mouse like there's no tomorrow!!!

So far I haven't got carpal tunnel from that method.  And I didn't even need to cast a heal (which I have never, ever gotten to work.  Ever.) :p

My most recent creature was able to win the fight without me watching. I just went and made some food for my town, and five minutes later I won the fight. Of course, this was a creature that I put 200+ hours into, that was in perfect shape (~80 muscle, ~30 fat), knew lightening, only used special move, lightening, block and heal, was a leopard, and was basically fantastic in every way.

Typically I just keep healing my creature and throwing rocks at Nemesis's. A good recommendation is to always fight slow-motion if you are controlling the creature, otherwise everything is hard to keep track of.

Yeah it takes a lot of time to get the  perfect (or near) but for MP it was needed but that was years ago  and it is still now a good idea to save  your creatures  xxx.erc when he is doing well so if you messup youcan get your old creature back. :D

Ha, rocks.  That's what I do with my sister's creature.  Except the rocks get thrown at her creature.  Ya, I'm just mean.  I always, always, always fight with Slow Down Time.  Otherwise it's hard to keep track of things, as you said.  I also used miracle bubbles and stored them near the final battleground's general area.  That was convienant.

Another thing. If you have good aim, then build a lot (A LOT) of large wonders (I think that either Greek or Tibetan will do it) and use X-treem Lightening. I'm fond of building wonders. I can usually build enough Norse wonders by the time I get to the next land that by casting food and wood into the vortex about fifty times, I can make the vortex stay open until the temple is built, which makes it never go away. I've also managed to defeat Nemesis before my vortex finished tossing out all the wood once. The best, though, is Greek wonders and wolves. You can pretty much clear two large villages in one swoop. :woot
