Is it possible to create a working .lnd without.....

Is it possible to create a working .lnd without using B&WSurveyor?
Also, could it (meaning B&WSurveyor) be made into an .app?
Is there a special trick to get it to work on Windows, like deleting a 1 somewhere?
I have on (on Mac) tried installing it with Wine Bottler, it installs, but when you open it, it just gives me a blank window.

In addition to to my previous question, I have .lnd working, but, (even though the "SET_NIGHTTIME" is good) the landscape is dark.
Is there something I need to do, or that I overlooked?
Also, I am sorry about the double post, I don't know how to add pictures while editing a post.
