ive been playing BW1 for a long time and i noticed IT TAKES SO MUCH TIME to make my creature grow any tips to speed it?sorry i dint put in the creature cave forum part i forgot
ive reached that age before but it took me a VERY VERY VERY VERY LONG time thx for the link oh and when you say the creature stops growing rapidly do you mean it will stop growing or will still grow but on a slower rate?
At a very reduced rate. My original Tiger was 324 or 234y old when I last used him he was still not completely grown.
Using the map 4-8y is normal for a full sized creature. You may want to do the creature fight tutorial first though
.
The later growth is really meant just to stop your creature from shrinking, I seem to remember. So if you keep him out of trouble he will still grow slightly.
Sleep. A creature grows quicker when sleeping, quicker still if he's in his pen and even more when at night.
Fat. A creature can not grow when at 0% fat since the energy needed for growth are taken from his fat reserves. 35% or more is recommended
Age. After the age of 18 a creature's growth rate slows down considerably.
All night maps have been used for a long time since it gets the creature to sleep in his pen at night for a maximum growth rate. Typically, two player maps were used. But the other player and creature did pose problems so you needed to watch what's going on in the map and couldn't leave it unattended. The Extreme Growth map is single player so you can leave you creature unattended for long periods. Provided he can take care of himself. People have gotten a full grown creature by this method in as little as 6 years. One of the down sides of this method is that your creature will always want to sleep in his pen at night. Which can be very annoying and is a hard habit to break him of.
hey thanks for the tip i needed that but when you said the other peoples creature can grow to max in 6 yrs. so um does that mean real 6 years if not then maybe how long can my creature get full growth in the extreme growth map thingy?
I've seen people brag about getting a full grown creature at the age of 6. But that doesn't really matter as long as it's complete by the time he gets to 18 years of age. But normally it takes about 6 years. As Grem stated, do the the tutorial first. As well get him so that he's able to feed himself so he doesn't go hungry when he's left alone.
There's also a trick where you either speed up time or slow it (forget which) that will fool the clock into halving the aging rate.
I used to use Kong a lot as a tool for editing creatures for "Skirmish maps" but there is no achievement in using an edited creature in game and they are generally worthless online.
I personally think that the "brain damage" myth is put about by people who use Kong and think just because a creature is big he will act like a mature creature it doesn't matter what you edit the age , size , strength etc. to be if he is not trained he won't perform.
.
BTW...There was German version of Kong is called King but it is purely for reading your stats the "unreliable" edit function was removed, but it probably diappeared with the closing of Lionsource.
Kong doesnt mess your creature up... it just changes his stats (creature strength, fatness etc...) and in my experience it only changes his knowledge in spells......Why?Too hard explain......
It is said to but it may depend on what you use the creature for.
As map creatures the mind is reset at the end of every session, nothing new is saved .
As player MP creatures the players who use Kong will normally not bother to train them properly either so they are pretty useless online.
As main game creatures all that size really dose is enable them to cover the ground faster and be more impressive. That alone dose not make up or a lack of training or any damage incurred.
Kong only edits 1 of the 2 files make up your creature.
