Ive recently bought the collectors edition of BW2 but when i put it in the disk drive it spins as normal but makes a different noise. It spins and spins but no menu comes up, and when i click on the game icon it doesnt play and just hangs. The only way to get it to work is to prompt it via my computer, but that takes ages and crashes my pc for a bit. Id bought another collectors edition before this one, but that had the same problem so i sent it back thinking it was broken. However my normal 4 disk version of black and white 2 works fine. Can anyone maybe tell me how to fix this problem? Id really appreciate it.
Thanks

Is your drive a DVD drive? ???

If it is, try using a disk cleaner in it. Sounds like the head could be dirty.

lol widow...

yeh kays its a DVD drive, but the thing is, my normal version of bw2 works perfectly, so i dont know how to explain the problem. By disk cleaner do you mean use a cloth or something? and on the disk drive or the actual disk? also, which part of the disk / disk drive is the head? Soz for the noobish questions  :p

The original game you got with the four CDs are not DVD but rather CD format where the tracks are wider and easier to read.

What happens at times is that dust builds up on the read head scattering the laser beam making it difficult to read the tracks. What I mean by head cleaner is a CD with little brushes on it that will sweep the dust off the head. An other option if you've got a can of air is to open the tray and blow in the opening to try to get the dust out of the inside of the drive. This method isn't quite as effective as a head cleaner. What I do at work is to remove the drive, take the covers off, blow out the inside and then wipe the head with a damp Q-Tip to remove the dust there. Although I don't recommend you doing it this way.

The game is identical  in use  weather CD or DVD the  difference is on the bonus feature disk.  The tiger unlocker on this is the only game changeing feature, and that dosn't work with vista  :laugh2
