compatibility

My cousin just got me this game...
I have a couple of questions
1. what compatibility should i put it in? Im thinking windows xp

2.wich screen resolution should i put it on my screen is 1280*720 but if i put it in that one it lags

3.i read here that you can put fur in your creature with out lagging your comp but i cant find where to change it.

It is designed to work on XP. So that would be the best bet.

I don't know if you can lower the resolution more that that. I'm assuming you've got a wide screen monitor.

Not necesssarily, that would depend on your graphics card. What is it?

Yes its a widescreen and i can lower the resolution

my video card is: Intel 82945G Express Chipset Family
