cant install patch V1.20?

:shocked  my friend want to patch his game to version 1.20 and everytime he tries he get the damn error that B&W is not installed how can he fix it pls add me in icq 267523595 =)

Hi, backup your profiles using BWBackup. Uninstall the game, delete all of the folders which didn't get deleted in the uninstall, empty the recycle bin and do a defrag. Now  reinstall the game, patch it to V1.20 and then restore your profiles.

If you've got a bunch of maps save the Scripts\Playgrounds folder as well as the Creaturemind folder and the Data\Landcape folder.

My computer won't recognize patch 1.2 or 1.1 as valid .exe's. I have transferred the files via flash drive, but other .exe's have worked with this method. I have 1.1 on-disc, but I wish to install .2 as well, so I was wondering if anybody knew what to do.

Which operating system? Vista or XP?

Have you tried compatibility mode?

Or, copying the patch to your hard drive and then launching it.

Just want to say that you can´t install a patch if you downloaded the game, If you lucky you can.

Make it easy, Buy the game!

My friend Has windows 7, and has the same problem, he is now playing on retail version... how can we fix this for him ?

We are talking about B&W 1 right? since he has problem with it,  I wouldn't like to start a duplicate topic..

Something to try. Don't know if it will help.

But try using the 1.30 patch. You will get a missing dll error. Google it and you should be able to find it. Place in in the windows/system32 folder.
