BW1 will not start

Hi,
I've installed BW1 on my machine, when double-clicking the icon nothing happens.
Like the game starts the shuts down immediately I do not see any window.
I have an XP SP2 machine with 2Gb RAM and Nvidia 7950 GT PCI express card.
What I did:
Installed all updates
Latest DX installed
Latest drivers
Virus and anti spyware scan
Installed the 1.2 patch
Installed the 1.3 patch (I have the glove)
Running under administrator account
Ran under various computability options
Ran without AGP acceleration
.
Any ideas?

Hi, don't konw if this would work. But uninstall the game and delete all of the folders then run a defrag. Now re-install B&W and apply only the V1.20 patch. Then see if it will launch.
 
I already un installed and deleted folders a few time.
Will try the defrag, thanks.
 
Also worth trying is going for a clean install.
Un-installing leaves behind more than redundant folders there are loads of system registry entries that often causes problems. You need to get rid of these as well.

I had that problem on my old computer.  It took until I got a new one (never tried reinstalling or anything) to fix ;_;
 
I got the problem as well... and it's probably a problem with your CD-Check. If you try to download... a... new exe of B&W so you don't need the CD in the PC, it will work... but only the exe, ok? Just as a... CD-Security... got it?
