Alright, i am tryign to make BnW Alaska's beta map. And After scripting the map up a bit, i decided to run it. The map won't open, i tryed various things, nothign works.

The map was meant for testing purposes, but this won't work at all. It crashes on load up, anything wrong with it?
 
There're a lot of bizarre typos.  Like on the version code is missing a V, and there's a (" before the create citadel thing.  Also, you need quotes around the string variables at the bottom like...

Instead of:

FIRE_FLY_SPELL_REWARD_PROB(CREATURE_SPELL_STRONG, 0.200000)

Do this:

FIRE_FLY_SPELL_REWARD_PROB("CREATURE_SPELL_STRONG", 0.200000)

And I don't know what's up with all the NONE things in the reward probability things...

I didn't go into this in-depth, though, because those typos alone should keep it ffrom running.
 
There"s also an extra bracket where it shouldn't be

Still crashing. Anyone mind pointing out the typos for me? The V got cut out from the Copy and Paste last time, and i fixed the citedal. But it still crashes.
 
Is the name of your landscape "project ALASKA.lnd" and is it in the landscape folder?

One trick to locate where the problem is. Is to break a line into two at a coordinate. This will stop the game from loading any further but not crash it. Break a line about half way in the script. if it crashes then the problem is before that point if it doesn't crash the problem is after that point.  Restore that line and then split a line in the direction where the problem is and load it again. Doing this you should be able to locate where the error is.
 
The name is project ALASKA. I dunno, i tried what you said, i found it always crashed at one point.
 
Change FARMER to NORSE_FARMER (or whatever kind of villager you want).  Same with HOUSEWIFE.
 
aha! i bet you that was it! Because Express map editor doesn't add that into it. Lemme try it.

edit: Just did so, it lasted longer, but still crashes. New script...

The last two values in create big forest are too large as well as a value in the bonfire line.

Btw, check to see if you can load another skirmish map. When I tried to run your first script it corrupted my game and I had to do a reinstall.

Or rather, I don't think a skirmish map script can do that... could be wrong, but ><
 
Niether did I but I couldn't use any of my profiles in the regular game or skirmish mode unti I did the reinstall.
 
Sorry, did you have the landscape BTW? Doubtful, as only me, talon, and FOTD have it right now.
