For me, I like Black & White 1 best. It concentrates more on fighting gods and you have larger creatures and stuff. In BnW 2 it focuses more on armies, city-building and takes of the part that you actually battle gods ..but.. the graphics are amazing and it's still fun ... For me BnW1 is better but I wanna know from you guys the gains and your opinion in BnW.

I say B&W2. I'll admit, 1 will always have it's touch. But B&W2 got more than it lost, so it equaled a better game. I'll admit that if Lionhead hadn't had been in a financial issue at the time, they could have done LOADS more. It was just EA that shoved it out before it was ready. Peter Molyneux said he was rather disappointed in what it turned out, compared to it's potential.

I was sad to know the the game was rushed... Maybe if it wasn't it would turn out better..

The fact that the creatures are smaller in BW2, is because they couldn't be bigger than the city walls, or it would be to easy to attack the cities.

Yup, makes sense  :yes also maybe they're also small cuz they wouldn't be able to fit in the pen..

BW1 also :D

Although some things were done better in BW2, over all, I still prefer the game play and style of BW1

And then there's the difference between the creatures in the two games. :rolleyes

Finally! Someone who has the same opinion as me.. I also like BnW 1 because of creature fights (you actually control your creature) and you have more miracles.. :)

What do you mean by "Finally"? ???  :D

I think you'll find that it is the general consensus. Especially from those who played the original game first.

I like BW1 more, for pretty much the standard reasons.  But I play BW2 more because of having modding abilities for it XD

I like BnW2 also there's always something that keeps me playing it i dunno what.... :suspect

Try playing  B&W2 as if it  was  B&W1 no troops  it  can  make  for a fun game.
But to be honest  I find 2 far easier than 1.

BW1.

Because, I just hate the creature in BW2.

I mean, I can live with freeze ups of a creature.. and.. I can live with consipation.. but  can't live with

"Booop! I'm a harvester!, BEEP I'm a warrior!. Bleep! I give water to tree!"

I prefered the

"Oh! He does that, so then it rains, so NOW I water the tree!"

>_> My creature.. in BW1 actualy only started watering,.. if it was raining... I never knew weather was a value, untill that day.

After that, I leared my creature to water only at night, as sunlight and water drops cause plants to burn!.. in real life.. not in BW.. sadly.

Yeah, the cretures in one are better..My favorite good creature is the sheep I like its weird noise when it is fully grown..My favorite evil creature is the leopard he's dumb but he's good in fighting and the evil form is cool..

Seriously, I haven't played BW 1 so sorry but something about BW 2 keeps me hooked.

Although... BW 1, based on how you describe it, seems like its a better game. If only I owned it and played it maybe I'd revise my choice.

Still... BW 2 all the way!

B&W2 is just the same as the original  exept it's for  softies.
Follow some of  "Whities" advice and you can win easilly.
Final Lands comparison (for the way I play)
In B&W1 your creature  was vital to take  the first Tibetan town  and  help with  the shields  before he became nearly useless from the curse.
In B&W2 the creature  can be ignored after a single task just break  the  west gate of the enemy fortress/city.
If you played the land  before then  you know  roughly  where the enemy volcano is cast so you "build as fast as you can",  that's a whitie quote  but  there is no real panic to rush .
You can easily  build over the area it has quite a fertile  patch  as a bonus.  That's dealt with B&W2's hard bits.
In B&W1 at a similar stage  your problems are just beginning. To get "safe" you need to be able  to place a TC scaffold  before  the greek wonder  gets  destroyed.
I found  the small  island south  of the  final  village ideal.

BnW 1, I actually felt connected to my creature, unlike BnW 2

and I remember,in spoiler for you that still dont beat the first one

The look on spikes face when he was going to jump to the volcano left me heart broken :(

I prefer BnW 1 for several reasons. First of all is AI. The creature AI in 1 is better I think, also the creature in 1 feels more like a creature because you have teach him how to do stuff. Also in 1, you were battling more gods and stuff and the difficulty was fairly good. Also they have online play in 1.

well, I bought black and white 2 about 2 years ago, and black and white 1 about half a year ago...

I'm definately a black and white 2 person, especialy since I never got to experience black and white 1 multiplayer...

I lost intrest in black and white 1 in the land with the shields... my creature always died and I couldn't figure what the heck I was susposto do to continue foreward in the game...

I also believe that because I bought black and white 2 first, I could never get used to the horrible graphics of black and white 3...

I think BNW2 is best in graphics level. I'm still with BNW1 though.
