Black&White (1st part) graphics problem. FIXED!

Hey,

  I've installed the Black & White game (not the "Black & White 2"). I start it and the graphics just messes around.  ???

I use Windows XP.
What should I do?

Ooo, that is weird. :upside

It looks like a video driver problem.

For a start try updating your vieo drivers. If you got an nVidia video card then the latest might not work but a slightly older version should.

Also, if you haven't already done so, install the V1.20 patch.

I've tried a lot of things... I've patched it, reinstalled the drivers, reinstalled DirectX, reinstalled nForce - nothing helped.
Then a guy in the IRC suggested a fix.

So... If you're having the same problem do this:

START -> RUN (keyboard shortcut: windows key + r)
Type dxdiag and click OK.
Go to Display tab and disable the AGP Texture Acceleration.

P.S. Just don't forget to enable it for the new games. I hope it helped

I thought that was fixed years ago. But if you need to run the obsolite drivers, that is your decision.

i can't see your screen shot but i think i am having the same problems there are all kinds of weird shapes running all oer and there are multicolore lines going everywhere and there are no words is this the same problem?
