I did the land 3 quest for the chimp, and an ape appeared (without any hair). Im sure its not the chimp because it is orange, not brown...
Has anyone else had this happen to them? I dont particularly want the ape with no hair.
Thanks
I used the L3D visualiser and all of the right files are where they should be. The chimp files depict a regular, brown chimp and i havent changed the files because i have only just installed it. Do you think it is an unseen glitch?
Im on vista, is that the problem?
Also i copied a back-up of the B&W folder into lionhead, so it is restored. I also used a patch uninstaller, but that doesnt work. I have an ape at creature select AND an ape instead of the chimp. I dont really want to swap files, id like to know the cause of the problem. If i swap meshes, then ill get the chimp at creature select. Any help? ???
Thanks
It could be a Vista problem. Maybe someone using Vista will see this and reply also.
One thing to try. Is if you have a scrap profile or create a new one and then see if the creature changer will do the same. If it will work at all that is.
The Creature Changer seems to be OK on vista.
A far as I have run it, it fails to see my profiles but that is because when they will be re instated it would be to drive D: anyway. So an adjustment to paths will be needed.
The creature changer has worked fine with me and continues to do so. I can successfully change to the chimp, but id rather not cheat and get the chimp via the silver scroll. When i change my creature to the ape (or have it in the first place) then i get the chimp via silver scroll, but i'm trying something and need to use the mandrill. With the mandrill or any other creature for that matter i get the ape instead. Do you guys know if it is necessary to have the ape to obtain the chimp?
Eh, do you have the ape already? If I recall, the child becomes an ape if you have any other type of creature. The trick is to save the game before you take the child to the house (may be to late), change for the ape, load the game (creature files save automatically and are retroactive, so you'll have the ape), give the witch another child, ? ? ? ? ?, PROFIT!
I have an ape (now a chimp) this time around, so I can't test it, but I recall doing this to my mandrill once.
