Any way to engineer the ogres to make them as fuctional as other creatures?

I am a professional skinner.  I played Black & White back in the old days and I figured I'd play it to re-live the old times.  Then I found this site for mods and skinning.  Ogres really captivate me and I want to play as one.  I did try switching the l3d files with a leopard to an ogre, but it didn't work out.  Can anyone help with this?
 
The creature changer sorta works. But from what I understand, the ogre is unplayable.

I've not heard of anyone successfully using the ogre, but the files to be looking at is in the Data/CTR folder with Bgreek.CBN being the ogre.

That I know, I was hoping someone would know how to script around it.
 
If only Cache were still around.

Though, credit where credit is due, Kratzean was the one to finally find the holy grail that is the colour changer, though I'm not sure if that really means he (or she) would be interested in this.


And, then again, it might not even be possible without really messing up the game.

One of these years I hope to understand what all that means, but mucho kudos for figuring this out just the same.
 
If you just wnt a creature that looks like the ogre you could jut swap all the files. 3skins and the model frame from memory and  get a functional creature that looks like the ogre. Again from memory the problem with using the ogre is his mind was never meant to be used as a player creature , just as an extra character under computer control at all times.
