A CRC error usualy is the result of a dirty CD. Try cleaning the CD with a soft cloth and mild detergent wiping from the inside out. Also check out the CD reader. If you have can of air, open the drawer and blow into the slot. Or use a CD cleaning disc. If you have one.

I think it's for B&W. Most CI only files are indicated as such.

You can try EA Support. :rolleyes Uninstall the game. Rename the folder it's in but don't delete it. Then reinstall the game and patch it. You can also rename the saved games folder in My Documents and have the game create a new one. If things work proper then rename the two folders to swap...

Ok, I guess I can't blame the OS then.  :suspect Well maybe not. I can't see the file extensions in the error display for some reason. Are they on? Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > View > Hide extensions for known file types. Make sure it's unchecked.

The everthing.stuff file is required. That's where all of the textures and models are stored.
