i usualy stay and defend for a while then i go and crush them with my creature then i send my armies to capture the city :devil

kill all of the soldiers near and around the city, then send a seige machine in to destroy all of the armories so they cant make any more soldiers, then send a small army in to capture the town whilst your creature stands guard
makes the land soo easy  :p  why dont you try it?

A good defence is a strong offense. To repel the enemy than fight them is better off.

I just wall myself in and build like mad the land is finished  in about  30-45m  much faster than the war way.
Empty houses count  but you cant fight without troops  :laugh2

i find the war way more fun than just repetatively placing a villa and building it. worst part is, you cant destroy the wonder so once youve built your city he just destroys it... very irritating. I prefer to punish them for their insolence  :D

I got a couple of defensive tips for you Skelape.

You could place a shield down which might prevent the epic causing critical damage to your town.

Or you could use water to soften the land where you want the earthquake to go. Although I have never tried this I heard it works?

The high ground is out of the main  zone so you can  build  freely.
But if  you want to occupy  the area  of your  "start" position then you need to gain both  of the flank villages and let them take the  damage from the  earthquakes.

With wonders, setting a tree on fire, picking it up and holding it over their wonder starts destroying it ^_^
