Mouse Sensitivity/Acceleration

Recently got B&W2, and one of the first things I noticed besides the reversed action/move mouse buttons, that there seems to be an imposed mouse acceleration. I can literally move my mouse slow enough that the in-game cursor doesn't move at all, which is a good indication of 'mouse acceleration'. Just wondering if there's a way to turn off the mouse acceleration for the game, because I certainly don't have it enabled in windows, as it's really bugging me.

From what I can see or tell there is no mouse acceleration in BW2. ???

I'm assuming that you've already tried adkusting the mouse senstivity under Options in the game.

What sort of system do you have.?

It's not necessarily mouse acceleration, it's just the way the game handles mouse movement. When you move your mouse slowly, you will get no responce from the cursor. This kind of thing becomes apparent when trying to draw the path of a road, or plant a tree right next to a house currently being built. I use low sensitivities with my mouse as it's more accurate both for gaming (like CS:S) and for art applications like PhotoShop. So such subtle nuances may otherwise not be apparent to folks who play with higher sensitivities simply because with higher sensitivities one is used to their cursor moving rapidly with even small movements.

In effect, yes, turning up the sensitivity in-game or otherwise reduses the amount with which this problem occurs, but of course, it doesn't solve it, only masks it, and there's the natural loss of accuracy with higher sensitivities.

I've come to terms with the fact that this is just part of the game, not anything one can change through even obscure settings such as altering the .cfg like in other games. It is indeed not a 'setting', just part of the engine. Thanks for the help anyway!
