Ive tryed the wiki on planetblackandwhite.com, but I cant find anything on how to use the brushes which make the landscape. Im new to this but Im going to start map making if I know how to?
I just need to know the basics for how to make landscape with the brushes then il add more questions later...

I guess it depends on what you are trying tp do. To form the landscape use whichever brush gives you the desired look. To add textures, use one of the first brushes. Something solid.

I just need to know about how to make plateau? Il ask more questions later.

When I add brush it just makes hills. How can I make it stay flat?

Ps- I won the game in less than a week, Land 9 was fairly easy, he didnt even have time to start the volcano  :laugh2. It only took me 40 minutes to beat his main city with no help from the norse.

To make a plateau, use the level (I think it is) option. The brush shouldn't matter much.

Yah, the game is a bit too easy. :yes

Thanks il try it soon. Weirdly enough I have never finished black and white 1.
Also I didnt know how to merge troops until I finshed...  :angry. That made me very angry because I had about 50 weaklings which could of been level 5.

Also I have the problem of a light blue square edge on custom maps?

I cant find the options menu???

I was going to reply to this on the forums but I'm here now, so I'll come out and say.

To make a plateau use the brush to make a hill, then when still in the Landscape editor tool, look for a small box on the screen, which says "Raise/Lower land", click that box and a list appears, if you use "Smooth to height" then you can get the plateau effect.

Go though it again. This tiime with all you aquired from the first time. The only land I find boring is the first Aztec one. The last time I played, I did it without walls in order to save on ore.

Also I have the problem of a light blue square edge on custom maps?

That light blue patch of water is the area you've got to work it. You can make it the same as the rest of the water later by lowering the land there. If it's something else could you post a screen shot.

I cant find the options menu???

Ok, been a while since I've used it. :p
In the " Edit Landscape" box, it's "Smooth To Height"

That light blue square edge problem I mean is when I play the maps, how can I make it disappear?

And thanks for the tips.

Are your video drivers up to date?

Could you post a screenshot? ???

I vaguely remember my custom maps having a light blue square engulfing the whole map even when I played them.  If that's what you mean, try turning up the opacity of the water.

I can only set it on low...

But also I have fur on but the good conscience and my creature dont have the extra hair on.

It might be best to post a screenshot. And your system specs. :yes

Ok il check, Can I get a tag with the OGAM team on because im part of it...

To check what type of video card you have go to the Control Panel >> System >>  Hardware >> Device Manager and then click on Display Adapters.

I can see that there's no fur, But where's that blue you were wondering about.

On the second image is the water glitch look at the left about _____  the length of the line from the hand.

Another problem is im on Vista and can't find the graphics etc.

Maybe I should get my eyes checked. I can't see either water or a hand in the second image.

Ok, try this to get your graphics card. Start >> Run type in dxdiag. I hope that's possible on Vista.
