Map Maker (Brush Help)

Im stuck on how to creat mountains/ hills. I need one which is like of land 5 from black and white 1, (the tibetan village which gets a shield) where it has like slopes.

Also I need to have a decent brush for mountains for everyelse.

And finally, I find the ramp brush very annoying, is it really hard to control, or just gets use to?

Mountains are easy enough to do once you find the proper brush. You need one with some opacity on the outside so it will create the slopes. For the plateaus build the basic shape and then use the level tool to smooth the areas where the plateaus are

Ramp takes a little getting used to. It works best if you start at the top and then bring the brush down to the finish point in one move. You'll probably have to go over it a few times to get a smooth transition between levels.
