[land 2] save khazar, skip creature kidnapping

this is a guide on how to save khazar from death and your creature from being kidnapped by lethys in land 2

1. have a khazar side mission available

2. have an artefact

3. build 2 artefact charged indian wonders

4. have enough worshippers to cast a lightning later on

5. slow down time with alt + 1

6. convert lethys' main village next to his temple and immediately pause the game

7. go to your temple, unpause for a short moment and cast lightning, pause again

8. go to lethys' temple and oneshot him with a short click on his temple, pause again

9. go near your main village, look for a khazar side mission, unpause and activate it
    khazar's death cutscene will be skipped, lethys capturing your creature will be skipped, the permanent vortex opening cutscene will play in the middle of the khazar cutscene and that's it.

i tested it with the khazar side mission where you have to impress the indian village next to your main village with food while khazar is filling their village store up with wood. not sure if other quests work too, maybe.

Imagine if this had been known back when the game was new? How many broken hearts would have been mended? So many people got very emotional when their creature was kidnapped and it heavily influenced a decision to quit the game for a lot of them.

I'm going to try this! I'm nervous about having to construct two wonders... but I'll make do :) Thank you so much for posting
 
I've tried this, but can't get it to work. Is there a specific place for the wonders, how much belief is needed or how many towns?
 
Tested on 1.42 it work.

Some clarification to the Padster Guide/Walkthrough.

Preamble :

> The "death of Khazar" cutscene is trigger if you, the player, convert (or eradicate) Khazar's Norse village or convert (or eradicate) any single Lethis Celtic village.

> The "Lethis steal the player creature" cutscene is trigger if you, the player, convert two, or more, Lethis Celtic's villages.

> Both cutscene require Lethis is "alive" with is temple.

> To avoid the "Khazar death" and keep your creature, you need to conquer Lethis villages and destroy his temple before the cutscene's start.

Prerequisites :

> Optional but really help : Know how to Pause and controle the speed game.
[Key P to Pause/Unpause and ALT+1 to slowdown ALT+2 to increase speed]

> An "area of influence" larger enough to access to Lethis celtic villages and temple.

> You need The Khazar Gold scroll quest "Impress this Village" available, seem to be the only gold quest able to, let you free of your move and, block/delay enough the cutscene's to let you conquer celtic's Lethis villages and destroy it's temple.

> Offensive Miracles, lightning or fireball (Enough prayer power to cast multiples, or enough "one shot").

> A fully charged artifact. (Helpfull to fast conquer lethis village and push indian wonder to the greater scale.)
(according to the first point of the Walkthrough it may be optional but i keep it a required because it's the fast to convert villages by far)

> Conquer all Lethis village's except his 3 Celtic's.

> Optional : 2 or more greater Indian wonder (to increase Lightning power to destroy Lethis temple faster and enlarge your "area of influence").

> Optional : Make shortcuts (CTRL+[Number]) on at least one Celtics villages + Lethis temple, and one close to your temple to cast offensive Miracle faster.

> Optional (but highly recommanded) : Make a save when the major prerequisites, and the optional of your choice, are full filled.

Walkthrough and [advises]: (From here we suppose you fullfill at least the prerequisite.)

> Start the Khazar Gold scroll quest "Impress this Village", after casting the Food miracle shake your hand to remove the spell then slowdown the game and PAUSE, from now you leave the quest at this point until you destroy the Lethis Temple.
[If you have problem's like villagers fullfill the storehouse and complete the quest for you OR if you want time to convert lethis villages and destroy is temple : Burn the storehouse and the fields just before starting the quest or just after]

> Go to Lethis first Celtic village Unpause and convert it faster as you can, then pause, go to the next and repeat.
[You can optimise the Artifact effect if you give a little effect in your hand when you drop the artefact]

> Once all Lethis village are conquered Pause the game go to your temple, unpause, activate one offencive miracle, pause, go to the Lethis temple, unpause, and destroy it.
[Shortcuts will help. Lightning miracle if Wonder boosted is the faster way, but it's possible to destroy the with fireball.]

> And voila, the vortex to land 3 just opened, you keep your Khazar friend and your creature close to you.

From this point :

> You can conquer Khazar villages or not, finish his golden quest, enjoy the land 2.

If you thing points are unclear, complicated or require an other way to explain or more steps, just say it.
