I was just wondering, I'm playing BnW2 on an average computer and my game is kinda slow, but it is at least playable, I love to experiment with creatures and take screenshots etc. So I was wondering, how do you get the highest graphics without having the game run slow? Btw I have a Radeon 9550 card....

Unfortunately it's a trade off, speed vs detail. The 9550 is a lower end graphics card  and will never show high detail to start with. However, you can alter the graphics.config file to show more detail than what you're getting now, but it will at loss of speed and the game will start to get choppy.

Yes, my game is very choppy and runs slow :( I will just have to find a better card?? Hope I can afford a good one tounge

With the V1.2 patch fur and blooming can be disabled in the options menu. Why don't you try to get it running the best possible with those disabled and if you what to take a series of screenshots, enable them take the screenshots with the better detail and slow frame rate. Then disable them again when you're done to get the frame rate back up again.

Yes of course that's a good idea! I actually do that, I was just wondering this because it's more funny to play when it's really nice done, at least I think it's funnier... :p

Hey HoneyPaw.. :P

I have exactly the same graphics card.. it works fine for me at 2 0 2.  Just edit graphics.config in
Code:
C:\Program Files\Lionhead Studios\Data\graphics.config

::::

It works fine In battle of the gods. It might be a bit choppy in BW2. But it only seems to be slow when your a good god and have so many builldings..

Just a side comment the 9550 is much better than my 9600 SE and the game runs at 20fps+ mostly, on 303 with a res of 1024x768.
The game looks much better like this than 1200x900 medium detail to me.
I also found the Omega drivers helped a lot rather than the standard Ati ones, giving an extra 5-10fps and can turn a laggy game into a playable one.

Chaos are you sure you said the right numbers? 2 0 2 in my game is like the best and runs slow. Do you really said the right numbers?  :p

Maybe its your other specs.. BW2 requires quite alot of ram to run properly. :) so try 2 1 2. Minispec lowers your FPS you see as the most detail is in that.

What # set would be good for a G-Force Fx 5200? I just picked up B&W2 and the exp.
