Hey guys, is there a better way to breed and expand your population than just randomly selecting people and turn them into breeders regardless of sex?  Should I turn men only into breeders, cuz they'll just go up to random females and you know what :P

Also, what do I do with old people?  They're slow and useless, but if they were designated as deciple when they were young, they remain deciples at old age.  They just couldnt get the job done right, what do I do with them?  The worse thing is that on satistics, they show up as certain deciples, so I just assume that they are doing their jobs... damn old farts literally crawl around town :(

One last thing, do you guys have a good breeders to population ratio I can use?  Say your population reaches 500, how many breeders do you usually have then?

What you should do with your old people is to make a rest home for them :) or pick them all up with the multi pick up and BURN THEM!!! but thats for evil gods only

I recently began a good god save on B&W2 and when my population got up to 200+ i had around 30 breeders all male because female breeders are alot slower breeding than the men because they have 2 give birth

YEa that's what I thought, let the male spread the seeds and move on :P  Do you have to buy that rest home from the tribute menu?

I recently started BW2 BOTG as evil, trying to build the biggest army i can get.  So I bunched all my homes together to save space and maxmize population.  I built 10 blacksmiths my soldiers are maxed out in level (htey move SUPER fast, and rape stuff :P).  Unfortuantely, my ppl got upset and food production went down dramatically :(

When I play good, I could stack up to 200k food in no time, but I was sitting at 250 troops and my food was down to less than 10k.  I think I have to restart the land ><

it's the same as BW2, with a few new buildings and creatures.  The enemy god is very annoying cuz he wont stop talkin.  Blacksmith is one of the new buildings they introduced.  Build one and your army level increased by one; build two your army level goes to three... build 9 and your armies are maxed out :D  Unfortunately these buildings drop happiness like crazy :(

cool but you said new creatures, there is only the turtle that is knew right?

My strategy in BW1 was to make males breed and females do all the work.  Well, that's when I was evil and wanted huge, homeless populations, anyway...

In BW2 it's different, though, because if you have all the males breed you have less people for the army.  I'd generally avoid making them disciples unless I had to, so they could go into the army, but that's just in theory.  Ever since the multi-hand pickup I haven't reaally bothered to weed out who I want to do what, I just mass-assign them jobs XD  Still, either old people homes or sacrificing is always good (depending on your alignment)

My main problem with old poeple is that they take up disciple spots.  If I build eough old peoples home for them, do they stop being disciples?

You should only need a few male breeders: one per 50-100 women, at a guess. One male breeder can impregnate a lot of women. You should need fewer male breeders if your city is compact -- that way, it will be more likely that a male disciple breeder runs across impregnable women.

Of course, you'll also need to have plenty of empty housing if you want your population to grow rapidly. My guess is that you should have 50% more housing capacity than your current population requires.

For old folks, buy the rest home. When they're too old to be disciple, multigrab them and do the shake-release thing. Be careful: it's easy to accidentally fling a handful of folks across the map!

Here's what happens when the people you started with on a land all reach their oldest age at the same time :D
