Enemy AI

Is it just me or is the enemy AI fairly lacking?  Im on land 6 right now and there are tons of enemy platoons just walking around the land but they never attack me because i built a wall.  Its almost like they just see the wall and give up even though they have 6 or 7 siege weapons.  Anyone else have this problem where the enemy never attacks? It just makes the game too easy.

Later in the level eventually he will use like hurricane and make his creature break down your walls.. Or sometimes he gives up on siege weapons seeing that you rebuild and rebuild

I am very far into the land and his creature just runs away from me.  I sent a platoon of 150 melee units and his creature attacked a couple times than ran away.  He has also used hurricane twice on me and hasn't attacked after it either time.

I found that if you started getting aggresive then he'll retaliate. But other than that, his troops will usually stay in a defensive posture.
