Any low end ATI HD series will be good enough to stomp all over B&W2 and almost any game...
Ah that could explain a lot.
The card should run B&W2 Ok but only on the low settings in the original graphics.config. you would also probably change resolution to 800x600 to get good frame rates.
The 6200 series were a budget / low end set of cards when released in 2004.

ATI or Nvidia cards should be OK.
What confuses me is the Dell 8400 series all haves a PCIe graphics card slot as standard and not a AGP as you stated.
Glad you enjoyed the results from the map. :)
Yes I can see your method working, I just don't have the patience to play that way any more. I tend to just steam through the lands ASAP maybe too much MP.
This is my general method and is adapted to specific lands or maps.
With weak or no...
Never found a way to play evil for long enough to complete a play through. Even when I set out to be evil I just drift back to good, I think it is easier that way.
In MP games evil can be the best way to go , great fun too. Dependant on the "win conditions" having your (full sized and well...
I have done a few evil creatures in the past and the basic method is the same for SP or MP games.
First you need.

Everybody has this problem. Your Dell 8400 with Pcie is going to be fine no need to Overclock.
But there is a simple fix........
You need information on your graphics card number. When you have it...
Then you need to.
Find your Graphics.config file.
Open it with Notepad.
Save it to "Desktop"...
Any modern PC will handle an old game like B&W 2 to the max. it was designed to work on PC's that are now at least 8-9y old now.
OS: Windows 2000 /XP/Vista/7 works with RC Windows 8.
Processor: 1.6 GHz Pentium 4 / AMD XP2000 or any AMD or Intel above 32or 64 bit any number of cores.

Go though ALL the steps in Cowgods guide for a clean reinstall.
I find the easy way to do the totems is as you do leash the creature to one as you did. Then repeatedly lift the totems in turn after a short while your pet will at least hold his up while you lift the other.

Well that's the answer then too much villager time wasted travelling and not working.
The main reason for the second store I mentioned above is to save villager time moving goods from production areas to the town where they are used.
As a god 20,000 grain moved by hand saves 80 villagers the...
Just a word of warning the lands get harder as you progress.
Land 4 is the final TUTORIAL land.
The easy way to beat the land is just sit behind the walls an build.
Fields in the fertile areas.
Housing and Leisure buildings in the impressive areas.
Industrial and storage in between.

The WIKI is right but to make it easier build you influence up and remove all trees from the path first. Wolves and Ogre as in the Video/Wiki.
I have done the quest several times on different PC's over the years.
No known hack as it isn't needed for most players.
The developers moved on 11+...
The only thing I can think of is un & re-install the Vanilla game. Patch and try again.
My guess would be the Temple is causing the problem. Skirmish maps and landscapes are not used until required.
I don't know but I you may be the only Mac and B&W1 user on this forum.
In your other thread about food I posted a couple of pictures from 06 you may find the number of disciples interesting.
I think the breeders were just for a quick population boost to help win the land.
